REGIONAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
The Friedman Group, retail's largest consulting and training organization, is seeking a Regional Director of Business Development to join our National Business Development Team. This position reports to our Vice President of Sales. The ideal candidate must be able to embrace our corporate values of integrity, teamwork, respect and professionalism while opening doors and building new relationships to support desired growth.

Job Summary:
- Sell The Friedman Group's proprietary retail consulting and training solutions to senior-level executives across all retail industries
- Build and maintain client relationships for long-term revenue growth
- Perform detailed project management and follow up on the implementation of Friedman training programs
- Provide outstanding customer service to external and internal clients
- Work Independently to develop new business prospects
- Speed up the sales cycle and influence the decision-making process
- Travel weekly, including being away occasionally on the weekends
Qualified Candidates Must Have:
- Proven track record in big-ticket business development with top executives of regional and national retail or service organizations
- Ability to sell intangible service-based products, including consulting services
- Strategic business thinking, business acumen and leadership skills
- Strong discipline to personally set and achieve aggressive sales goals
- Effective presentation and communication skills
- Articulate speaking and a persuasive manner
- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Significant experience in one or more of the following areas is greatly desired:
Program Management, Organizational Development, Change Management, Value Methodology/Analysis, Return on Investment Analysis, Total Cost of Ownership, Business Process Design/Improvement, Benchmarking, Key Performance Indicators, Business Improvement Modeling, and/or Performance Metrics
The most successful candidates will have a results-driven personality that easily gains support and commitment from clients and their support staff. In-depth knowledge of the retail industry including major product and service sectors, key players and industry trends is a major plus. A permanent smile and friendly, confident demeanor is required.
Compensation:
Successful candidates should expect to earn $75,000–150,000+ per year, after the initial paid training period. Our sales professionals work in a performance-oriented, commission-based environment. We provide extensive opportunities for further financial incentive, professional advancement and personal growth.
